As you probably know, it’s my sister Suzie’s 16th birthday in a week. We’re planning a surprise party for her. A primary school bus driver stopped the bus in a gas station in Ohio because he had to use the bathroom. At present, more and more people are crazy about travelling. Why do people travel? “To see more of the world,” many people would say. But travelling abroad now means much more than that for the growing number of Chinese tourists. Of course it offers us good opportunities to meet people from other countries, learn about their culture and customs.
According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), more than 1 billion people travelled to another country in 2014. In 2014, Chinese people travelled abroad 30 percent more than in 2014. The prosperity (繁荣) of the tourism industry can also bring both our country and foreign countries great economic benefits (经济利益). Chinese people usually join large tourist groups and visit several countries in one trip.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to Beckman High School. I’m Frank Martin. I know all of you want to send your children to a good high school. Maybe Beckman is the first to think about. This school was set up in 1826. It has 50 classes with about 2,600 students and 200 excellent teachers.
The building on the left is the office building. On the wall of the second floor, you can see some pictures of the school history. The building on the right is the classroom building. There you can talk to the students freely during the break time.
Every year, about sixty percent of the students from our school go to famous universities. Well, if you want to know more information, please go to the school hall. It’s on the first floor of the office building. Our school leader will give a talk there at half past ten. All the teachers and student leaders will be present to answer any of your questions at the school hall after lunch. OK, time is up. Let’s go to the hall.

W: Good, we have two weeks to get everything ready. Here are my suggestions. On the first day, we’ll have a welcome party. Then they can visit the schools on the second and third days.
M: Since the visitors want to learn about how computers are used in the classroom, we may ask Mr. Goodman to give them a talk about it on the third day in the afternoon.
W: That will be nice. What about the last two days？ Have a tour in New York?
M: Why not take them to Niagara Falls? I’m sure they’ll love it.
W: Good idea.
