词语用法:
another常用在单数形式的可数名词前。也可以用作是代名词，后不接名词。修饰不可数的复数名词时，通常用more。
Could I have another piece of bread?
Could I have another (one)?
Would you like some more meat.
another等于是an加other，因此不能说the another desk ， that another desk等，里面的another都该改作other；
another指“另外的任何一个”，加上原本的那个，心里应至少有三个，才有任何一个的可能，因此不适用于只有两个时，如不能说I have two brothers, one is twenty, and another is fifteen ，应用the other代替；
相似短语的不同意思：another and better pen指“另外好些的一枝笔”，another better pen指“另外一枝好些的笔”，（已提过的一枝或多枝好些的笔以外的一枝）another, better pen同another and better pen同义，逗号相当于and；
another后可接数字和复数形式的名词，如another five hours；
one another和each other均指“相互，彼此”。
The five boys help one another/each other.
这五个男孩互相帮助彼此。
one another不能作主语。不能说We know what one another wants,能说We know each what the other wants或Each of us knows what the other wantsc。若有三或三个以上的人，应说We know
each what the others want或Each of us knows what the others want；
one another不可以与every one同用，都表达了“互相，每个”的意思，如不能说Every one of them looked at one another and smiled，应把every one替换成All；
当other用在名词前时，不可用复数形式others。不用在名词前，单用时，可用复数形式。通常情况下，others只用来指代前面已经提过的名词，不过有一个例外是，人们习惯用(the) others 指 (the) other people。

another用作形容词的基本意思是“(又)另一个的”,主要指同类中又多一(个)的或与前述不同的另一个的,在句中只用作定语。another后常接单数可数名词,但当复数名词前有基数词或few时,也可用another修饰。
another这个形容词是由an和other两词合缀而成,因此它不能加冠词或其他限定性的形容词。
