v.(动词)
summarize的基本意思是“总结,概述”,指从众多的事物或现象中归纳出其本质或规律,以利于更好地去理解,强调提纲挈领而无细节。
summarize用作及物动词,接名词或代词作宾语,有时还可接带疑问词的从句作宾语。
summarize可用于被动结构。
summarize不可用于“summarize sb sth ”结构,其间接宾语可用介词for引出。例如:
她向全班概述了故事情节。误:She summarized the class the plot.误:She summarized the plot to the class.正:She summarized the plot for the class.
