Chen Xiexia lifts China’s first gold

Weightlifter Chen Xiexia won the first Olympic gold for Chinese delegation in women's 48kg class weightlifting competition in Beijing, August 9, 2014.

Chen snatched 95kg and jerked 117kg for a winning total of 212kg, a new Olympic record. It's also the country's first Olympic gold in this category.

Pang Wei hits his target for China's 2nd gold

Pang Wei, a Chinese Olympic debutant, nailed down gold medal in men's 10-meter air pistol 在event with 688.2 points at the Beijing Shooting Range Hall on Saturday.

Guo smashes Olympic record to crown in women's 10m air pistol

Chinese markswoman Guo Wenjun smashed Olympic record in women's 10-meter air pistol with 492.3 points, winning China the second shooting gold medal at the Beijing Shooting Range Hall on Sunday morning.

smash a record的意思是:

to do something much faster, better etc than anyone has done before。

China wins the first Olympic diving gold

Chinese world and Olympic champion Guo Jingjing took the limelight of the Water Cube together with her partner Wu Minxia as they retained their women's three-meter springboard synchronized gold at Beijing Olympic Games here on Sunday.

其中的“卫冕”,英文单词是“retain”,表示to keep something or continue to have something。

Long Qingquan, the young dragon flies high

Seventeen-year-old Long Qingquan of China became the new Olympic champion of the Men's Weightlifting 56 kilogram class after lifting a total weight of 292kg on August 10.

Chinese Judoka Xian retains Olympic gold after bearing child

Defending champion Xian Dongmei won China's first judo gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Sunday, stunning Kum Ae An from DPR Korea in the 52kg class final.

Xian flipped Kum Ae An with a yuko and a penalty koka.

After giving birth to her daughter 18 months ago, the 33-year-old Chinese judo veteran gave three ippon games in the women's light-weight competition, which added the fifth gold medal to China at the Games.

China bags men's 10m synchronized diving gold

Chinese teenager divers Lin Yue and Huo Liang clinched the gold of the men's 10-meter platform synchronized at Beijing Olympic Games here on Monday.

China pockets fencing gold after 24 years

Zhong Man ignited the home crowd Tuesday night, as the fans in the Olympic Fencing Hall roared for the first Olympic fencing gold from a Chinese man.

The 25-year-old sabre fencer defeated Frenchman Nicolas Lopez 15-9 in men's sabre individual event final at the 2014 Beijing Olympic Games.

The gold medal came as China's second in its fencing history, after women foilist Luan Jujie won the first 学习方法指导 one at the 1984 Los Angeles Games.
