随着高中课程改革的展开，信息技术给我国的教育事业带来了巨大的挑战。信息技术在教学中的应用引起了教学内容、教学方法、教学组织形式等一系列的变化，导致了教学思想，教学观念，以及教学体制在一定程度上的变化。
一、教学背景
教学对象是高一学生，英语基础是一般水平，同时对英语兴趣不浓的学生。因此，本案例主要调动学生的学习兴趣，以学生主动学习为目标。
二、教材分析
本案例是高一必修3 Unit 1 Festivals around the world ——Warming up部分，围绕“Chines festivals”这一主题，主要通过网络开展学习活动，让学生自主通过网络查找资料，协作学习，通过讨论了解中国节日的由来。要求学生能用英语表达并且正确认识到作为一个中国人应当了解中国的文化历史，最突出的特点是让学生尝试自主学习，主动思考，乐于创作，勇于创新。

1、让学生了解中国节日的由来及节日的特色。
2、让学生通过讨论来提高英语口语能力。

Step Ⅰ Presentation
The teacher uses some pictures connected with festivals to lead in, show them to the students and present these questions.
Q1 : What’s your favorite festival of the year?
How do you celebrate it?
Q2 : Do you know its original of the festival?
教师：让学生思考问题并发表自己的意见，引出课题，引起学生对问题的探究，也培养学生观察问题的能力。
Step Ⅱ Discussion
Have students discuss the pictures presented on the screen and let them know the importance of learning about Chinese culture. Ask them to look at the pictures carefully and tell us what kind of festivals they are and talk sth. about them suh as the date, what it cele brates and what people do.
教师：通过看图讨论，直观地把本节的内容展现出来，充分培养学生运用语言交际的能力和协作学习能力，充分调动他们的积极性、主动性和创造性。
Step Ⅲ Group work
The teacher divides the class into several groups and lay out an activity. Let them sit in a cirle and have a free talk for Mid-Autumn festival.
教师：通过活动让学生更好地了解中国节日的由来，让学生在自由无拘束的环境里大胆地开口说英语，又让学生形成自主学习的能力，充分调动学生学习英语的兴趣。体现了“以学生为主体”的教学理念。

Make a conclusion about the original of chinese festivals, taking one for example.
Step Ⅴ Assignment
Choose one festival around the world and ask the students to write down the details about it like Merry Christmas.
