英语释义：unhappy or sorry
sad是最常用的词啦，表示“伤心的，悲哀的；令人难过的，令人遗憾的”。来一个谢耳朵的金句：
One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
一个人哭是因为一个人很伤心。举个栗子，我哭是因为别人很蠢，让我伤心死了。
2. hurt
英语释义：upset or unhappy
hurt作动词表示“弄伤；伤害”，做形容词就是“受伤的，伤心的”。
I feel very hurt by what you said.
你说的话让我很伤心。
3.sorrowful
英语释义：experiencing or marked by or expressing sorrow especially that associated with irreparable loss
要注意，sorrow主要用于失去亲人或痛苦的经历而引发的悲痛，sorrowful就表示“悲伤的；使人伤心的”。
A funeral is a sorrowful occasion.

这是因为mela-/melan-词根表示黑，黑色总是与忧郁悲伤有关系吧。

要记住这个词，只需要记住：
①console的动词含义是“安慰；慰藉”；
②in-前缀表示“不、无、非”；
③-able是常见形容词后缀，表示“能……的；可以……的”。
这个词跟disconsolate（忧郁的；郁郁不乐的）很相似啊：dis-前缀表示“不，无”；ate-也可以做形容词后缀。
He was disconsolate after his bicycle was stolen.
