教材分析
本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。并在上一单元学习了数词的基础上学习序数词1-31。通过围绕生日进行互相问答式的讨论，掌握英语表达年，月，日的单词和句型，能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期的话题，询问表达年龄的句型以及询问节日的表达法以及能够熟练运用名词所有格形式。
单元总体目标
本单元通过学习使用When is … ?引导的问句以及回答，教会学生如何合理的安排自己的作息时间，做时间的主人。

五、总结反思：
基数词变序数词，我们可以通过一个口诀来记忆其规律
基变序，有规律，第一、二、三单独记。-th 要从四加起，八去t来九去e。遇到ve, f替，-ty变为tie,后跟-th莫迟疑。若想表示几十几，只变个位就可以。

【学习过程】
一、自主学习
1、知识海洋：birthday是由birth和day合成的单词。在英语构词法中称为合成词。类似的合成词还有：afternoon下午；backpack 双肩背包；basketball篮球；classroom教室；grandfather祖父; homework 家庭作业；notebook 笔记本。
How old…? 意为“……几岁了（多大了）？”，是对年龄提问的特殊疑问句，其句型是：“How old + be+主语？”， 答句常用句型“主语+be+基数词+year(s)/months old”表示，也可以直接说出年龄。如：
—How old is your mother? 你的母亲多大年龄了？
—He is fifty (years old). 他五十岁了。
—How old is little Tom? 小，汤姆多大了？
—He is only eight months old. 他才八个月。
注意：在英美国家一般不能向成年人询问年龄，尤其是女性，否则被视为不礼貌会令对方尴尬。
