Students know the eaning of “there be” very well, and they can use the single for very well, but when they use the plural for, they always use there is s, or there are …(single for of the word) A lot of is the sae eaning of lots of. Students always forget the “s” behind lot. After exercise, I find that I should tell the “a lot of ” “lot of” “soe” can connect uncountable and countable words. However “any” only connect with countable words.

This pattern drill is quite iportant and useful. They learn the graar rules of this pattern drill. It’s easy for the to aster these rules. As a result, they can use There is or There are correctly. By using these sentences, they can describe the decorations of the roos and try to write short articles.
